The Senior Power BI / BI Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights. This role empowers clients to maximize the value of their data, supporting wise business decisions and continuous operational improvement. The ideal candidate is a creative problem‑solver, adept at working in dynamic, fast‑paced environments, and skilled at bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

• Design & Development: Create interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI and other BI tools, ensuring solutions are visually compelling, user-friendly, and aligned with business objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements, understand operational challenges, and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel, cloud platforms) and ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
• Innovation & Best Practices: Stay current with Power BI features and BI industry trends, continuously improving reporting capabilities and adopting best practices in data visualization and analytics.
• Performance Optimisation: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to end-users, enabling them to leverage BI tools effectively and make data-driven decisions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, including design specifications, data models, and user guides.

• Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in designing and delivering BI solutions, with a strong focus on Power BI.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and ETL processes.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and impactful reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
• Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments and managing multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business and technical teams, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

• Experience with additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and advanced analytics.
• Certification in Power BI or related BI technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
