As a User Experience Graduate you will join CGI on the Graduate Programme where you’ll step into a role where creativity and ownership are at the core. You will be joining a User Research and Design team within our Government and Justice business area where you’ll have the opportunity to be part of meaningful projects that matter.

As a User Experience Graduate at CGI, you will play a critical role in uncovering deep insights about users’ needs, behaviours and experiences. Your findings will inform and shape crucial public services. You will work closely with researchers, designers and other stakeholders to ensure services are designed with the user at the heart of the process.

Your work will ensure that research activities include diverse user groups to make services accessible and inclusive. Working in our Government and Justice business areas, you will begin your role within User Research / User Centred Design.

We recruit User Experience Graduates in our London, Manchester, Bridgend and Newcastle offices. As CGI is a consultancy, you may be required to work in different locations, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are key.

Candidates with psychology or other research‑intensive degrees may be particularly well‑suited for this role.

• Minimum 2:2 degree (some roles may require a 2:1 depending on the business unit)

• Accessibility and inclusive design – basic awareness that there are accessibility standards and assistive technologies
• Agile UX – basic understanding that iteration and adaptation will lead your activities, and the importance of taking a minimum viable product (MVP) mindset
• Negotiation and compromise – capacity to balance thorough research with practical project requirements, ensuring both the needs of the business and project objectives are met
• Prioritisation skills – ability to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring essential tasks are completed first
• Digital skills – an awareness of product development cycle
• Understanding of User‑Centred Design (UCD) or Human‑Centred Design (HCD) – foundational knowledge of UCD or HCD principles is beneficial, with additional training provided as part of the graduate scheme
• Awareness of different analysis techniques – basic awareness of techniques for analysing and interpreting raw data, particularly relevant for user research roles
