Job Title: Oracle DBA
Location: Remote
Salary/Rate: £626 inside IR35
Start Date: October

Oracle DBA Needed to assist with GoldenGate replication and migration to Azure environment.

Must Have:

• Proven experience with Oracle on Azure and large-scale database environments.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and Data Pump.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate / Data Guard for replication and migration.
• Experience with data obfuscation/anonymisation techniques and tools.
• Expertise in managing and securing DB links in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration with Azure-hosted applications.

Nice to have:

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Exadata/GoldenGate certification.
• Experience in cloud migration projects involving Azure and Oracle Exadata.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) related to data handling.
• Scripting skills (PL/SQL, Bash, Python) for automation and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of Oracle database migration to Oracle Exadata, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Manage and optimize large-scale datasets for performance, scalability, and storage efficiency.
• Design and implement secure data obfuscation strategies for sensitive data during and post-migration.
• Configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and migration support.
• Assess and manage database links (DB links) to ensure secure and reliable cross-database communication.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless integration with Azure-hosted services.
• Configure and tune Oracle Exadata for high performance, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance using AWR, ASH, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Document database architecture, migration plans, obfuscation logic, and operational procedures.
