We have an opportunity for a Porter to join our team in the Portering department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, where you will supplement staffing during busy periods and cover for staff absences.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Maths and English GCSEs at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
• Proficient in using a PC, including software and systems
• Front-line customer-facing experience
• Previous portering experience in healthcare, hotel, or hospitality settings is preferred

Duties include:

• Providing portering services to support clinical and non-clinical functions, ensuring high service standards for patients and departments
• Responding to operational needs, including deployment in various areas and shifts
• Handling tasks like patient, equipment, and goods movement (e.g., pharmacy goods)
• Explaining hospital facilities and services to patients and visitors
