A social support organization in London is looking for a caring companion to support a young woman in her daily activities and promote her wellbeing. The role requires resourcefulness, adaptability, and a thoughtful approach to diverse needs. Pay is £18.00 per hour during weekdays and £19.00 on weekends. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
Location: London NW6
Days & Hours: 16 hours per week (Monday 11:00–18:00, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 16:30–19:30)
Pay: £18.00 per hour weekdays, £19.00 per hour weekends

L was diagnosed with global developmental delay after birth. Later, following a group B streptococcal sepsis with multiorgan failure, L required above knee amputation of the left leg and below knee amputation of the right leg. L’s main means of mobility, both indoors and outdoors, is a manual wheelchair.

Working with L offers a unique opportunity to gain experience, and would suit a person interested in the intersections of special educational needs and disabilities, traumatic injuries, and mental health.
You will receive training and collaborate closely with L's existing support team.
