Job summary

A local authority partnership in Rugby seeks a Communities Project Officer for a crucial role on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended. This position focuses on leading the coordination and delivery of Phase 2 of the Navigation Way development, ensuring operational readiness for new housing. The post holder will work across teams to prepare properties and support tenants. Applicants should have strong project coordination skills and relevant housing experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housing, income collection, allocations, tenancy management, or related fields.
  • Commitment to meeting high standards of service integration and stock growth efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day coordination for Phase 2 of the Navigation Way project.
  • Support implementation of the Local Lettings Plan and coordinate property offers.
  • Liaise with Housing Services for tenancy visits and planned moves.
  • Ensure completion of sign-up documentation and information packs.
  • Manage benefit take up and develop income maximisation practices.
  • Add Phase 2 properties to relevant contracts.
  • Coordinate accurate messaging for Councillors and partners.
