Assistant Project Manager – Brighton

What you will be doing

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join the team at Southern Water, a Galliford Try business.

  • Project Planning & Execution – Assisting with the development of project plans, timelines and resource allocation.
  • Task Management – Helping to organize and delegate tasks, track progress and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Communication & Coordination – Maintaining communication with team members, stakeholders, and vendors, facilitating meetings and distributing information.
  • Administrative Support – Managing project documentation, preparing reports, document control and scheduling meetings.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting – Collecting and analysing project data to track progress, identify potential issues and provide regular updates to the project manager.
  • Risk Management – Assisting in identifying potential risks and helping to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Budget Management – Supporting the project manager in monitoring project expenses and ensuring adherence to the allocated budget.
  • Quality Assurance – Helping to ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Problem Solving – Addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle and collaborating with the project manager to find solutions.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills: Essential for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Necessary for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills: Required for identifying and resolving issues that arise during the project.
