PPM Recruitment are recruiting for a Planning Assistant in the Grimsby area.

• Undertake the validation of planning applications, including checking plans, forms and fees.
• Assist in the processing of minor and other planning applications from submission to recommendation, including conducting site visits, liaising with customers and preparing accurate and concise reports.
• Respond to pre-application enquiries in a timely manner.
• Support the team in achieving contract performance targets.
• Provide excellent customer service to a wide variety of customers of the planning service.
• Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be expected at this level in supporting the delivery of the planning function.

• Previous experience of working in an office environment, with front line customer services experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of office systems, routines and processes.
• Knowledge and understanding of the required compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Experience and ability to effectively use IT including databases and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Knowledge of working in a planning environment is desirable.
