The Role
As General Manager at MINCKA, you're not just running a coffee shop - you're building a culture, developing people, and setting the bar for operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own your site's performance, inspire your team, and ensure every guest experience is exceptional. You'll be the heartbeat of the store - balancing commercial thinking with great hospitality, every day.
Key Responsibilities - What You'll Do
Team & Culture
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team with energy and empathy
- Create a workplace culture that's warm, motivated, and people-first
- Coach and develop future leaders, fostering internal growth
Guest Experience
- Ensure world-class service standards, from the first welcome to the last sip
- Be present on the floor - resolving issues, leading by example, and shaping the vibe
- Turn new guests into loyal regulars through care, quality, and consistency
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations - from shift planning and prep to cleanliness and compliance
- Maintain full stock, quality, and service standards at all times
- Ensure your shop is audit-ready, spotless, and always guest-ready
Financial Performance
- Own and improve your shop's KPIs: sales, labour %, average transaction value, and waste
- Spot trends, make smart decisions, and drive results week-on-week
- Be accountable for your site's P&L - balancing growth with cost control
Requirements
- 3+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, F&B, or retail
- Strong commercial awareness and a track record of hitting KPIs
- Confident leading from the front with a calm, motivating presence
- A detail-driven operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine love of coffee, food, and delivering a premium guest experience
