Job summary
A reputable staffing agency in Shrewsbury is looking for a reliable Forklift Counterbalance Driver for a busy food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience and relevant forklift certification. Working hours are from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a 4 on/4 off rota. This position offers the potential for temp-to-perm for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing or food environment.
- Minimum of 2 recent years using a forklift counterbalance license.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished products.
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements.
- Adhere to health & safety procedures and food hygiene standards.

Salary: £14.94 per hour
Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, working on a 4 on/4 off rota
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Forklift Counterbalance Driver to join our busy food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating forklifts safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of health and safety. This is potentially a Temp-to-Perm (T2P) role for the right candidate.
- Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished products around the warehouse/factory
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures and food hygiene standards
- Support team members to ensure smooth production flow
- Proven experience as a forklift driver, preferably in a manufacturing or food environment, with a minimum of 2 recent years using a forklift counterbalance licence
- Relevant forklift certification (counterbalance, reach truck, or similar)
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
