Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Coleraine

Location: Coleraine

Contract: Permanent, rotating shift pattern (including nights and weekends)

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician for their modern production facility in Coleraine.

The Company

Our client is a well-established and progressive manufacturer with multiple sites across Ireland and the UK. The Role

As part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of production and packaging lines. You'll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure the site runs efficiently and safely 365 days a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-speed production and packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, resolve breakdowns, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support on site services, including steam, compressed air, refrigeration, and effluent systems.
  • Participate in planned maintenance and equipment installation projects.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.

The Person

We're keen to hear from Maintenance Technicians who can demonstrate:

  • A recognised Engineering qualification (ONC/OND, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and a completed apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work a continental or rotating shift pattern.
