Overview

Are you a skilled engineer with experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance? Do you enjoy problem-solving, supporting production, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturer at their Daventry site. This is a permanent role offering stability, development opportunities, and an excellent benefits package.

Location: Daventry

Hours: Monday - Friday (8-hour shifts but choose your hours between 9am - 7pm)

Salary: £46,000 per year + Bonus Scheme

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform electrical fault finding and mechanical diagnostics.
  • Support production teams with machine inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Liaise with contractors and technicians during maintenance and utility-related activities.
  • Ensure accurate recording of maintenance tasks on the company system.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and RCA.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities in good working condition.
  • Participate in small-scale engineering projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Have completed a time-served apprenticeship or hold relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Hold 17th/18th Edition certification.
  • Have proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance (food manufacturing experience desirable).
  • Be capable of working independently with strong self-management skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
