As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are interested in hearing from interim environmental lawyers, to support Simmons & Simmons on a variety of upcoming projects.

You will ideally have experience across:

• Environmental and carbon trading
• Environmental permitting
• Advising on ESG and sustainability matters for global corporations, financial institutions and/or public bodies.
• Advising on EU and UK regulatory frameworks, emissions trading, sustainable finance and corporate governance.
• Advising on matters relating to contamination and remediation.

This assignment can be performed remotely from the UK on a flexible ad-hoc basis.

Person specification:

• You are a qualified lawyer with substantial environmental experience from either private practice, in-house or a regulator.
• You have experience working with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple European jurisdictions.
• You are a problem solver and offer a collaborative approach.
• You are able to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment.
• You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines. You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
• You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team.
• You will be required to hold he relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
