Skills
Education
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring every meal served is nutritious, well-presented, and consistently delivered to a high standard.
- Supporting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
- Preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality food across all meal services
- Assisting with menu development and the implementation of new food concepts
- Supervising kitchen sections to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitoring stock levels, ordering, and assisting with inventory control
- Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
- Ensuring full compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
- Leading, motivating, and supporting junior kitchen staff
- Has proven experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Holds City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ equivalent, and a Food Hygiene Certificate
- Is passionate about great-tasting food and high-quality service
- Has experience supervising, training, and motivating a kitchen team
- Is reliable, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Has a flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns
