Technical Assistant – Air Quality & Acoustics

We're looking for a proactive and motivated Technical Assistant to work closely with our specialists in Air Quality and Acoustics, supporting the delivery of high-quality assessments, surveys and technical reports. Whether you're a recent graduate or have some early-career experience in a relevant specialism, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to multiple disciplines and build a long-term career in consultancy. Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up equipment on site, collecting data, and keeping records.
  • Assist in the preparation of environmental assessments and reports.
  • Support desk-based research, data processing, and quality checks.
  • Work across Acoustics, Air, and business.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Music Technology, or a related subject.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Basic experience with MS Excel, Word, and mapping/GIS software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Previous experience in environmental monitoring (e.g., placement or internship).
  • Familiarity with UK air quality or noise assessment guidance.
  • Experience with GIS tools, Acoustic Modelling or Data Visualisation.
  • Working knowledge of social and digital media channels.
