A community services organization in Rhyl is seeking a Working Denbighshire Placement Officer to join Denbighshire County Council. This role involves providing enhanced employment support to individuals aged 16+ through mentoring and guidance during their work placements. The successful candidate will manage a caseload, conduct assessments, and collaborate with various agencies, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills. This position offers a pay rate of £17.47 per hour and a work commitment of at least three days on-site per week.

Location: East Parade, Rhyl, LL18 3AH
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start Date: 26 January 2026
Duration: Initially for 3 months with possible extension
Pay Rate: £17.47 per hour PAYE
Work Pattern: Minimum of 3 days per week on site

As a Working Denbighshire Placement Officer, you will provide enhanced employment‑focused support to participants aged 16+ while they are on their work placement. You will deliver 1:1 mentoring, coaching, and strengths‑based guidance to help individuals overcome barriers, develop new skills, and progress towards sustainable employment.
You will work collaboratively with employers, internal teams, and partner agencies to ensure placements are meaningful, supportive, and aligned with each participant’s goals. The role requires excellent relationship‑building skills, strong organisational ability, and a commitment to empowering people through a person‑centred approach.
