About the Role

We are seeking a talented and inspiring Visiting Music Teacher (Drums) to join our music department. You will deliver high-quality drum instruction to students of all ages and abilities, supporting their musical and technical development and preparing them for performances and examinations.

What you will do
  • Deliver engaging drum lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Teach techniques, music theory, sight‑reading, and repertoire appropriate for each student
  • Motivate students and foster a love of music
  • Prepare students for performances and examinations (ABRSM, Trinity, RSL, GCSE, A Level)
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Communicate clearly with students, parents, and the Director of Music
What we are looking for
  • Recognised music qualification in Drum Kit or Percussion (degree, diploma, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching drums across various ages and abilities
  • Knowledge of ABRSM, Trinity, and RSL examination requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor lessons and create a positive learning environment
  • Strong organisational skills and flexibility
  • A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, equality and data protection
