Job summary
A prominent contractor in the fit-out sector is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major projects ranging from £70-£150 million. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in fast-track fit-out and refurbishment. Responsibilities include overseeing site management, client liaison, and resource planning while maintaining project budgets. The position requires CSCS and SMSTS certifications, as well as First Aid.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in fast track fit out/refurbishment.
- Experience running projects as a No.1.
- Ambitious and client-facing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee pre-construction duties and site management.
- Ensure timely progress reporting to Contracts Manager.
- Manage resource allocation and budgeting for projects.

With a turnover of over £200 million, one of UK’s leading Fit-out/Refurbishment Contractors is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Project Director to join their growing team. This Main Contractor is looking for a No.1 Senior Project Manager who can lead the team and deliver the project to the client's requirements and expectations on a 2 Stage tender basis on projects ranging between £70-£150 million. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience within Fit out/ Cut & Carve Refurbishment on a fast track basis.
- Pre construction
- Programming responsibility from contract programme onwards: design and build
- Site set up and strategy including logistics
- Planning
- Running the job as a number 1
- Daily site management and Progress reporting weekly
- Check contractors RAMS for approval, Tickets records and allocate inductions
- Costing, Budgeting
- Check and Approve Benchmarks from contractors
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish
- Client liaison
- Reporting into the Contracts Manager
- Aftercare
- Finish with attention to budgets
- Ideal candidate must have previous experience running his own Projects within fast track fit out, Cut & Carve/Refurbishment
- Must be ambitious, dynamic and client facing
- Must be able to travel to and from site
- CSCS
- SMSTS/SSSTS
- First Aid Site certifications
