Job summary
A leading home insurance provider in England is seeking a Data Scientist to lead the market modelling function. Your role will involve analyzing price elasticity and developing competitive models. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s in Data Science or a related field, proficiency in Python and SQL, and preferably experience in the insurance industry. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in relevant field required.
- Experience with Python and SQL is essential.
- Industry experience in Insurance is preferred.

- Lead conversion rate and market modelling function.
- Analyze price elasticity and market competitiveness.
- Develop and productionise models with team support.
- Model market premiums for price comparison websites.
- Work with price comparison websites to ensure competitiveness.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the conversion rate and market modelling function, these are the two most important models,
- Understand and analyse price elasticity and competitiveness in the market
- Develop and productionise models - will have support from the team on this (Doesn't need to be end to end but ideal has some production experience)
- Model market premiums for price comparison websites.
- Made some good advancements in the space, right now a good time to invest and grow even further
- Working heavily with price comparison websites and making sure they are the most competitive on the market right now
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficient in Python (core skill), with strong experience in SQL
- Strong technical expertise in AI/ML and advanced analytics.
- Ideally industry experience within Insurance
