A leading pharmaceutical company in Stevenage is seeking a researcher to establish organoid-on-a-chip platforms for oncology studies. This lab-based role involves collaborating with diverse teams to develop advanced analytical techniques and contribute to cancer research. Candidates should have an MSc in a relevant field, preferably with 3D organ-on-a-chip experience. The position offers hybrid working flexibility and a collaborative environment.
The Oncology Translational Research team will partner with other Oncology Therapy Area team members to increase clinical translatability and to contribute to preclinical development programs within GSK Oncology TA. The successful candidate will work in a small team involved in the establishment of a new organoid-on-a-chip platform combined with a microfluidic system and single cell detection. This research platform will be used to develop and implement cutting-edge cellular, genomic and molecular techniques with a multimodality analytic approach, generating data that will inform machine learning models to improve cancer patient risk stratification as well as to predict future targeted and/or immuno-therapy susceptibilities. This position will be predominantly lab-based with some ad hoc flexibility to work from home.
