Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

Location: North West

Salary: Up to £28,000 + package

Certifications Required: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid

Our client, a reputable main contractor specialising in commercial and industrial fit-outs and refurbishments, is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their construction management career who is ready to take the next step and grow with an established company.

You will be supported by a Senior Site Manager with extensive experience, ensuring you gain hands-on mentorship and a clear development path.

• Early career in construction management or transitioning from a trade background (e.g., joinery).
• Some experience in the construction industry (site-based work, apprenticeships, junior roles).
• Ambitious and motivated to learn, with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Keen to develop into a long-term leadership role within the company.

• Focus on fit-outs and refurbishments across commercial and industrial sectors.
• Typical project values: £100K - £3M
• Project durations: 5 weeks - 5 months

• Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations and construction activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure works progress as scheduled.
• Help maintain a safe site and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with maintaining site documentation and reporting on progress.
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors.
