We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) background to oversee and coordinate construction activities on a live project near Stansted.
This role requires a technically capable, commercially aware, and safety-driven individual who can manage multidisciplinary packages, coordinate specialist subcontractors, and ensure the successful delivery of M&E works alongside civils and build activities.
You will play a key role in ensuring installation quality, compliance, programme adherence, and effective coordination between trades, clients, and stakeholders.
- Day-to-day management of site operations with a focus on M&E coordination
- Overseeing and managing M&E subcontractors and specialist contractors
- Ensuring compliance with RAMS, permits, and Health & Safety legislation
- Coordinating interfaces between M&E, civils, and build packages
- Monitoring installation quality, testing, and commissioning activities
- Managing site logistics, sequencing, and programme delivery
- Chairing and attending coordination meetings with engineers, designers, and clients
- Reviewing method statements, risk assessments, and technical submissions
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, standards, and client specifications
- Maintaining site records, QA documentation, and progress reports
- Supporting snagging, testing, and handover processes
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects with a strong M&E focus
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including:
- Lighting and controls
- Data and communications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience working in live, regulated, or critical environments is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work under programme pressure
