Job summary
A leading building and construction consultancy is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will manage budgets, oversee procurement, and mentor junior staff. This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000, along with an electric vehicle scheme and a flexible working model of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

- MRICS accreditation in Quantity Surveying is required.

- Strong commercial awareness and technical capability are essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost plans and budget estimates.
- Manage procurement and administer contracts.
- Oversee cost control processes and ensure value for money.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Lead value engineering exercises where appropriate.
- Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to team development.
Skills
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning building and construction consultancy based on the outskirts of Manchester, with free on-site parking. Occasional travel to regional offices may be required.
- Prepare cost plans and budget estimates
- Manage procurement, administer contracts, and assist in resolving disputes
- Oversee cost control processes and ensure value for money
- Identify and manage project risks
- Lead value engineering exercises where appropriate
- Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to team development
- MRICS accreditation in Quantity Surveying
- Experience supporting or acting as an Employer's Agent
- Ability to manage small teams or junior staff under supervision
- Strong commercial awareness and technical capability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Competitive salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)
