Overview

MERITUS Talent are working with one of the World's largest aviation and aerospace organisations for the recruitment of a Project Engineer to join their Broughton site on an initial 12 Month contract. The role requires someone to be onsite full time and is paying £37 per hour via Umbrella.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the industrialisation of Jigs and Tools Requests and associated projects - from creation and development through to modification, final acceptance, and handover to operations.
  • Integrate mature industrial technologies in collaboration with R&D teams.
  • Work closely with R&D to align requirements and consolidate the organisation's industrial vision.
  • Design and/or specify tooling assets in line with production requirements.
  • Provide technical support to cross-functional teams for production investigations, applying tooling and metrology expertise.
Key Outputs
  • Interpretation of aircraft design models and translation into operational requirements and support.
  • Definition of certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, including associated features and schedules.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong ability to operate from first principles within manufacturing disciplines, applying technical expertise to daily business decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design Systems, and Business Information Systems.
  • Proven experience in aircraft production and engineering methods.
  • Understanding of relationships and interactions between manufacturing, engineering, and business functions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-motivation.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment is essential.
