Our vacancy is for a temporary Engagement Creative Artist who will play an important role in our Engagement Team.
The purpose of this role is to plan and deliver high quality education projects to all sectors of the community, both on tour and locally, and to play an active role in the day-to-day running and long-term vision of the Engagement Team. The role will include working closely with the Engagement Creative Director and all other members of the Engagement and Dance & Artistic Development teams, including dancers.
The ability to develop excellent working relationships with freelance tutors and musicians, educational institutions, cultural organisations and community organisations, amongst others, is key to the success of this role.
In a nutshell, we want to hear from you if you have:
- Experience of conceiving and delivering a range of dance workshops, both in the community, professional and formal education settings.
- Experience of developing and leading multi-art form projects and high-quality education initiatives.
- Great communication and organisational skills and the ability to establish excellent working relationships both internally at Scottish Ballet and externally.
- Ability and willingness to work to own initiative and as part of a team.
It’s a temporary role (12-month fixed term contract):
- The role is part-time, around 28 hours per week
- Salary is £26,000 to £28,000 per annum pro rata, dependant on experience.
- Working hours will align with the Engagement programme, and will at times include some evening and weekend work.
- This role requires time spent in Glasgow at SB HQ, with travel as and when required
