Title: Solutions Engineer

Location: Remote / Home Office - Spain

Travel Requirements: Approximately 30% throughout Spain, Italy, Greece, and Israel.

Language Proficiency: Fluent in Spanish and English; fluency in Italian is also preferred.

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for leading technical qualification, demonstration, and value illustration for the Riverbed Observability portfolio. Working closely with Sales, they will leverage their technical expertise to evangelize our products and solutions, clearly articulate how we can address business challenges, and play a key role in achieving technical wins and closing deals.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Sales team, jointly managing sales cycles, account plans, and opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Channel, and Technical teams to meet market demands from prospects and customers.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives to grow and exceed regional goals, including marketing events, tradeshows, exhibitions, and user groups.
• Lead activities across the Riverbed Presales stages: Discovery, Pitch, Demo, Proof, and Commercial Close.

What makes you an ideal candidate

• Multiple years of experience in a technical pre-sales role, with a strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and processes.
• Domain knowledge in at least two areas such as Application Architectures & Performance Management or Network Infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of Networking and/or Observability technologies like SNMP, Flow, Packet Capture, TCP Fundamentals, Routing & Switching, Virtualization, SD-WAN, Cloud environments, and Applications.
• Excellent communication skills; capable of presenting virtually and in person, storytelling, engaging audiences, and translating complex technical concepts into business value.
• Knowledge of enterprise data center and cloud architectures from an operational perspective.
• Proven project management skills, able to handle multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to negotiate, influence, close deals, and generate new business.
• High trustworthiness; capable of handling objections and challenging questions effectively.
• Team player who proactively supports stakeholders including sales, Professional Services, support, project managers, R&D, and executives.
