We are now hiring Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) for senior living homes in Stouffville, Ontario. Our client offers a competitive compensation package! Candidates must have a current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN) and be able to provide a copy of their nursing license to demonstrate good standing.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles and provide nursing care in accordance with policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Identify the needs of residents and develop and maintain appropriate care plans.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents.
- Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all shifts.
- Hold a Diploma in Practical Nursing and be currently registered as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Possess sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration.
- Have knowledge of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations, the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, and Food & Drug Act.
