BMW Toronto is one of Ontario’s premier BMW dealerships and we’re looking for someone to take on the accountant role within our growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of automotive dealership accounting and will report to the Controller. *This position is full-time onsite at BMW Toronto

Key Responsibilities

• Review, balance and post vehicle deals into the general ledger
• Review and reconcile all vehicle related schedules
• Review and reconcile parts inventory schedules
• Processing on demand cheques including lien payouts, customer refunds and dealer trade purchases.
• Accounts payables including coding invoices, posting and issuing payments in a timely manner
• Reconciling and processing warranty remittances and aftermarket payables
• Perform bank reconciliations as required
• Assist with accounts receivable reconciliations of customer and departmental cash clearing accounts
• Monitor floorplan accounts to ensure payments are submitted within guidelines.
• Review vehicle purchases and Inventory schedule maintenance
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing
• Other accounting duties as required by management

Minimum Qualifications

• Post secondary education with accounting background
• 3-5 years of relevant automotive accounting experience
• Experience using Reynolds & Reynolds dealership management software
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a timely manner
