We are looking for a seasoned machine learning scientist to join our team at SAP Concur to deliver world class applied AI solutions to millions of users. We solve real-world challenges faced by SAP’s global customers with scalable and robust AI-augmented user experiences. This position is at the forefront of innovation and ambitious AI roadmap of SAP Concur. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, and have a passion for applied AI systems.

• Proven hands-on experience with ML / deep learning frameworks, NLP, LLMs and agents
• Strong track record in experimentation and evaluation of ML / AI models, LLMs and agents
• Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform, AWS preferred
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Demonstrated ability to drive decisions using a data-driven mindset

• Experience with agentic systems and frameworks
• Experience with LLM fine-tuning, distillation, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, grounding techniques
• Experience with ML model / LLM deployment and productionization

In this job, you will work closely with our Concur Spend AI team and the Spend product team to deliver real-world, high user-impact AI-driven product features in Finance and Spend domain. Specifically, you will

• Explore, implement, experiment and evaluate the most recent LLMs and agentic frameworks in AI field for our use cases;
• Push the frontiers of applied AI with real-world data and application.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams of developers, designers, and business experts to develop solutions with real measurable customer impact.
• Help to ensure performance, reliability and ongoing improvement of our model deliverables in continuous collaboration with development teams.
