Job Title : Head of Sales
Location : UAE, 50% travel required with in GCC and Neighboring countries
Reports To : Senior Vice President
Job Summary :
The Head of Sales will be responsible for overseeing the company's sales operations, managing large and diverse sales teams, driving revenue growth, and ensuring optimal performance across the MENA region. This role demands a leader with substantial experience in FMCG or mobile phone distribution, strong P&L management skills, and a proven track record in sales leadership within large-scale organizations. The ideal candidate will also possess deep regional knowledge of the MENA market and the ability to build high-performing teams across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a large sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and driving a performance-driven culture.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, market penetration, and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and coach senior sales leaders and regional managers to enhance team performance and career development.
- P&L Management :
- Take full responsibility for the P&L of the sales department, overseeing budgets, cost control, and driving profitability.
- Monitor sales performance against targets, taking corrective actions where necessary to optimize business results.
- Market and Regional Strategy :
- Develop and execute market expansion strategies across the MENA region, leveraging local market knowledge and trends.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners in the region.
- Business Development :
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and sales channels to ensure long-term business growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product distribution and customer experience.
- Reporting and Analysis :
- Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis to the executive team.
- Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and improve sales strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate with senior management to align sales goals with the broader business objectives.
- Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure efficient execution and profitability.
Key Requirements :
- Experience :
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of success in the FMCG or mobile phone distribution sectors.
- Extensive experience managing large, diverse sales teams and P&L responsibilities, particularly in a multi-market environment.
- Deep knowledge of the FMCG or mobile phone distribution industry, including sales cycles, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
- Prior experience working in the MENA region, with an understanding of local business culture, market trends, and regulatory frameworks.
- Skills and Competencies :
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent P&L management experience, with the ability to drive profitability and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
- Educational Background :
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus).
