Job summary
A banking technology company in the UAE is looking for an experienced application production support specialist. The role involves troubleshooting, configuration, performance tuning, and interaction with banking applications under the ITIL framework. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience, a robust banking background, and a solid understanding of SWIFT architecture. Extended hours during critical incidents will be required.

Job description
Responsibilities
- Provide application production support within the ITIL framework.
- Troubleshoot, configure and maintain applications.
- Perform application performance tuning and optimization.
- Resolve tickets with quality and within SLA.
- Proactively monitor systems and analyze incidents.
- Maintain and configure workflows as needed.
- Support banking domain applications with functional expertise.
- Understand SWIFT architecture (SAA, SAG, SWP, HSM, SNL) and related message standards (MT, MX ISO 20022).
- Deploy SWIFT standards and security patches periodically.
- Integrate SWIFT with IPLA, IBM MQ and ADK.
- Develop rules and schemas for message flow in SAA.
- Perform UNIX shell scripting, XML scripting, XSL scripting, SQL and Oracle development as required.
- Be available for extended hours during critical incidents and schedule weekend deployments.
- Respond to command center calls (24x7).
- Work with UAE local payments (UAEFTS, IPI) and payment screening processes.
- Collaborate with teams using BMC Remedy, JIRA, and Confluence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant technical position within large organizations.
- Banking background.
- Experience in application production support within the ITIL framework.
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in application troubleshooting, configuration and maintenance.
- Application performance tuning and optimization.
- Resolution of tickets with quality and within SLA.
- Proactive monitoring and incidents analysis.
- Experience in workflow maintenance and configuration.
- Functional experience in banking domain.
- Complete understanding of SWIFT architecture of SAA, SAG, SWP, HSM, SNL.
- Knowledge of SWIFT message standards (MT & MX ISO 20022).
- Hands-on experience deploying periodic SWIFT standards & security patches.
- Knowledge of SWIFT integration with IPLA, IBM MQ & ADK.
- Good understanding of rule & schema creation for message flow in SAA.
