Senior Project Engineer
Job summary
A leading interior fit-out company in Dubai is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage technical aspects of projects. This role requires strong site management and leadership skills, with at least 7-10 years of relevant experience. The candidate will oversee project schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with specifications. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture is mandatory.

- Proven ability to manage commercial, retail, or corporate fit-out projects.
- Strong technical understanding of fit-out joinery and MEP coordination.

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage all technical and execution aspects of interior fit-out projects. The candidate must have strong site management experience, technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure smooth project delivery within the defined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Manage and supervise all interior fit-out project activities from mobilization to handover.
- Review and verify all design drawings, specifications and project documents for accuracy and execution feasibility.
- Plan, monitor and control project schedules, resources and budgets.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
- Oversee daily site operations ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and safety standards.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
- Monitor project progress and prepare periodic reports for management and clients.
- Ensure proper coordination between civil, MEP and joinery works.
- Handle site inspections, quality checks and authority-related documentation.
- Lead and guide junior engineers, supervisors and site teams to maintain project standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (mandatory).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in interior fit-out projects with continuous experience in the same company will be preferred.
- Proven ability to manage commercial, retail or corporate fit-out projects independently.
- Strong technical understanding of fit-out joinery and MEP coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office.
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
- UAE experience in fit-out and joinery works.
- Membership in the Society of Engineers (UAE) or registration with local authorities (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.).
- Valid UAE driving license.
