Job summary

A leading construction firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced supervisor for joinery projects. The candidate will conduct site visits, prepare design drawings, manage a mid-size team, and ensure project requirements are met. Ideal candidates have a diploma and at least 8 years of joinery experience, with strong leadership and communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to work on varied projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years experience in joinery with at least 3 years as supervisor managing mid-size team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and take measurements for new inquiries.
  • Prepare design drawings as per customer requirements.
  • Submit project requirements and attend weekly workshops.
  • Maintain submittals according to project requirements.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings to ensure implementation of critical areas.
  • Study designs and verify variations in coordination with the Line Manager.
  • Prepare work schedules before deadlines.
  • Ensure daily follow-ups on production status.
  • Coordinate delivery dates with stores.
  • Inspect items upon delivery as per QCS.
  • Conduct post-delivery inspections for installation readiness.
  • Distribute work among site foremen.
  • Coordinate sub-contractor work and report delays.
  • Arrange daily reports of delivery and installations.
  • Inspect and prepare snag line with contractors and clients.

Job description
Responsibilities
  1. To conduct site visits and pull measurement for new inquiries in coordination with Line Manager.
  2. To prepare design drawings for the new inquiries as per customer requirements and coordinate with the Line Manager.
  3. To submit project requirements (work schedules, samples, shop drawings, TDS, HSE plan and methods of statement) and attend weekly workshop.
  4. To maintain submittal according to the project requirements.
  5. To coordinate weekly meeting and ensure implementation of critical areas.
  6. To study designs and BOQ for the confirmed orders and verify variations (if any) in coordination with Line Manager.
  7. To prepare work schedule as per contractor / client before deadlines in coordination with the Line Manager.
  8. To ensure daily follow ups on production status and proper coordination with production supervisor & Line Manager.
  9. To coordinate for delivery dates with stores.
  10. To inspect all items upon delivery and report as per QCS and to ensure that damaged items should be rejected, rectified / replaced and delivered in coordination with Line Manager / QC and production.
  11. To conduct inspection after delivery and ensure that all items are in good conditions for installation.
  12. To distribute work in coordination with site foremen as per work schedule and delivery plan.
  13. To coordinate sub-contractor work and report any delay or non-conformance.
  14. To arrange daily reports of delivery and installations along with status and updated schedules and re-study variations.
  15. To inspect and prepare snag line in coordination with factory, contractors and clients and maintain proper project record.
Skills
