A leading energy services company is seeking a Senior Scheduling / Planning Engineer to manage the project controls team at their Abu Dhabi location. Responsibilities include overseeing project management efforts, reviewing cost and schedule deliverables, and ensuring effective project execution. The ideal candidate has substantial experience in project management and scheduling, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
Qualifications
- At least 14 years of experience with 10 years in project management.
- Experience in PMC roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of various contracting types related to project execution.
- Experience in schedule and cost benchmarking of oil and gas projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project controls team on various projects.
- Support the Project Management team on behalf of the client.

Originally founded in the UK in 1954 as Spencer & Partners, the company has now grown to include almost 1,000 members of staff, with major offices in London, Mexico, Colombia, Houston and Abu Dhabi.
We are looking for a Senior Scheduling / Planning Engineer (Onshore / Offshore) to work in our PMS project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role is accountable for the management of the project controls team deployed on various projects. Project control support is given to the Project Management team who acts on behalf of the client (Khafji Joint Operations, KJO) and delivers the program of projects.
The role will also be involved in review of early-stage deliverables (FEL1 and FEL2), as far as cost, schedule and risk is concerned, produced by KJO front end development department.
- At least fourteen (14) years of experience of which at least ten (10) years in direct involvement in project management, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, cost and budget control, procurement tracking and monitoring / forecasting of engineering and construction activities for major oil and gas projects. Asset Integrity experience is an added advantage.
- PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
- Working knowledge of various contracting types and strategies related to project execution.
- Prior experience in schedule and cost benchmarking of oil and gas upstream projects.
- Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 package.
- An engineering, construction, or project management degree.
