Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement static, dynamic, and transient models for electrical power systems.
2. Perform transmission long-term planning, including substation expansion plans and transmission system master plans.
3. Conduct technical and economic evaluations of transmission system expansion alternatives.
4. Evaluate the impact of new loads and generation plants (renewable and conventional) connections on the transmission system.
5. Perform electrical power system steady state, short circuit, dynamic, and transient stability analyses.
6. Prepare technical reports to support the outcomes of network analysis.
7. Develop business cases and technical presentations based on study outcomes.
8. Create or modify automation scripts to enhance the efficiency, speed, and accuracy of technical simulations, with specific knowledge of automation scripting in Python.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical Power and Power Systems, or a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant field, including successful completion of a similar role as a Power Network Planning Engineer.

Field of Experience:

• Deep understanding of electric power systems, grid operation, and renewable energy integration.
• Knowledge of transmission network planning and analysis.
• Experience in power system analysis, including steady state, short circuit, dynamic, and transient stability.
• High proficiency in PSS/E software and Python coding.
• Experience with Plexus software integrated with PSS/E.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and deliver projects within quality standards and schedule constraints.
• Capability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Strong understanding of electric power systems fundamentals, grid operation, and renewable energy integration.
• Proficiency in PSS/E software for power system studies.
• Experience with Plexus software.

Service Level & Contract Terms:

• Contract Duration: 12 months, with a possible extension.
