Job description

A Civil Planning Engineer develops, monitors, and manages project schedules, resources, and budgets for construction projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion by creating detailed plans, tracking progress against baselines (like MS Project/Primavera), coordinating teams (architects, managers, site crew), managing risks, and reporting to stakeholders, essentially being the mastermind for project execution from blueprints to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive schedules, set milestones, identify critical paths, and create baseline plans.
  • Track daily/weekly/monthly progress, compare actuals to planned, and prepare reports for management.
  • Estimate labor/material needs, manage budgets, and forecast cash flows.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients; facilitate meetings and document decisions.
  • Identify potential roadblocks, assess risks, and develop recovery plans for delays.
  • Prepare progress summaries, highlight weaknesses, and advise on corrective actions.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
