Planning Engineer jobs in United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team and support the execution of high-quality interior fit-out projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all aspects of the project to ensure timely completion, cost efficiency, and adherence to client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using project management software (Primavera P6/MS Project).
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate planning and execution.
• Identify and analyze critical paths, potential delays, and mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
• Monitor actual project progress against planned milestones and provide regular status reports to management and clients.
• Conduct project resource planning, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and update progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Participate in project review meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Ensure alignment of schedule activities with contract requirements and project objectives.
• Assist in claims and variations analysis related to time delays.
• Support the preparation of tender programs and time schedules for new project bids.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out project planning.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction processes, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Familiar with UAE project regulations, authority approvals, and construction practices.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience with hospitality, retail, commercial, or luxury residential fit-out projects.
