Job summary
A prominent banking institution in Sharjah is looking for an HR Business Partner to enhance organizational performance. This role requires at least 5 years of HR experience, preferably in banking, along with solid knowledge of employment laws. Responsibilities include advising management, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. The position offers a dynamic work environment, contributing to the bank's success and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Good knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing performance management processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between human resources and other business units.
- Advise management on people-related issues and strategic planning.
- Manage disciplinary cases and ensure fair application of policies.
Skills
Education
To act as a strategic partner to business units within the organization, aligning human resources actions with business objective to foster a high-performance culture. The role is responsible for advising on HCM policies and practices, support talent management and ensure effective employee relations to drive the banks success and employee engagement.
- Act as a liaison between the HCM and other business units, providing strategic HCM support to align business objectives with employees and management.
- Advise management on people related issues and strategic planning, including workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
- Manage the performance management process across all functions, including sales, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving a high-performance culture.
- Manage disciplinary cases and employee relations (ER), ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures, and conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and supporting effective HR operations.
- Track the HR budget, including planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure optimal allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in workforce planning initiatives, analyzing current and future workforce needs to support business objectives and ensure the right talent is in place.
- Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Provide guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD) is desirable
- Good Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Demonstrated experience in HR business partnering, talent management, and employee relations
