Job Purpose
To act as a strategic partner to business units within the organization, aligning human resources actions with business objective to foster a high-performance culture. The role is responsible for advising on HCM policies and practices, support talent management and ensure effective employee relations to drive the banks success and employee engagement.
Principal Accountabilities
- Act as a liaison between the HCM and other business units, providing strategic HCM support to align business objectives with employees and management.
- Advise management on people related issues and strategic planning, including workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
- Manage the performance management process across all functions, including sales, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving a high-performance culture.
- Manage disciplinary cases and employee relations (ER), ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures, and conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and supporting effective HR operations.
- Track the HR budget, including planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure optimal allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in workforce planning initiatives, analyzing current and future workforce needs to support business objectives and ensure the right talent is in place.
- Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Provide guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD) is desirable
- Good Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Demonstrated experience in HR business partnering, talent management, and employee relations
