As Technical Director – Building Structures, you will sit at the heart of the business’s growth and delivery strategy, acting as both a technical authority and client-facing leader. Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the technical delivery of major structural engineering projects, ensuring design excellence across all stages.

• Acting as a trusted advisor to architects, clients, and stakeholders on complex structural solutions.

• Taking ownership of client relationships, providing leadership in project governance, and ensuring commercial success.

• Overseeing project financial performance, resourcing, and quality assurance across the structures portfolio.

• Driving innovation and sustainable engineering practices, pushing boundaries in design and delivery.

• Mentoring, coaching, and developing engineers at all levels, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.

• Supporting business growth through work winning, bids, and proposals, alongside the Group Directors.

• Representing the consultancy externally within the Middle East structures community as a thought leader.

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

• Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or equivalent) strongly preferred.

• Minimum 15 years of structural engineering consultancy experience, with significant time in leadership roles.

• A proven track record in the design and delivery of major structural projects within the Middle East.

• Strong experience in leading multi-disciplinary collaboration with architects and consultants.

• Demonstrable ability to manage teams, mentor talent, and build client relationships at senior level.

• Strong commercial acumen, with experience overseeing project P&L, risk, and governance.

• Additional credibility through industry recognition, thought leadership, or academic engagement will be highly valued.
