Job summary
A recruitment consultancy seeks qualified Inspectors and Engineers in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Successful candidates must have a degree in engineering and significant experience in construction projects related to bridges, roads, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include overseeing laboratory testing and ensuring materials meet quality standards. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of safety regulations are essential for coordinating with contractors and inspectors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years experience for Inspector in construction of bridges, roads, and infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 8 years experience for Engineer in construction of bridges, roads, and infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in materials/QA/QC within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Witness laboratory tests and prepare samples for testing.
- Coordinate with the Work Inspector to confirm approval of work for testing.
- Conduct regular checks on delivered materials.
Skills
Education
- Witness all laboratory and in-situ tests conducted by the contractor or third-party testers on materials and prepare samples for testing.
- Coordinate with the Work Inspector in charge to confirm approval of work for testing and address any concerns.
- Perform sampling and testing efficiently to avoid delays in the contractor's operations.
- Conduct regular checks on delivered materials to ensure conformance with approved sources or suppliers.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Review and approve testing and acceptance of materials used in the project.
- Inspector – Diploma or associate degree in engineering
- Engineer – Degree in Engineering
- Inspector – Minimum 7 years experience in construction of bridges, roads, infrastructure and irrigation projects
- Engineer – Minimum 8 years experience in construction of bridges, roads, infrastructure and irrigation projects
- Prior RTA or Dubai Central Laboratory Approval is required
- Proven experience in materials/QA/QC within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of laboratory and field-testing procedures for construction materials.
- Ability to perform material sampling and testing efficiently and accurately.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors, inspectors and engineers.
- Experience in quality control and assurance processes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations on construction sites.
