A leading luxury hospitality group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Groups & Events Coordinator to manage and coordinate group bookings and events. The role requires extensive sales experience in a 5-star hotel, with a focus on exceptional customer service and detail orientation. Strong communication skills in English are essential. This is a fulltime position with no remote work options.
The Groups & Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales and planning process for group bookings, conferences, meetings and events. This role involves coordination between clients, internal departments and vendors to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused and thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Coordinate and manage group and event inquiries from initial contact to post-event follow-up.
Prepare and issue proposals, contracts, event orders and rooming lists.
Maintain accurate records of group and event details in the property management and sales systems.
Work closely with operations, catering and front office teams to ensure all group/event requirements are communicated and executed effectively.
Assist with site inspections and client walkthroughs.
Handle administrative tasks including filing, updating reports and maintaining client communication records.
Ensure all events meet brand standards and customer expectations.
Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries and requests.
Support the Events & Sales team with coordination during peak business periods.
At least 12 years sales experience in a 5-star / luxury hotel with groups & events focus
Bachelors Degree in any related field
Confident communication skills; excellent written and verbal English is essential
Second language preferred but not mandatory
Strong analytical skills are a must. Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Express, Internet, email)
Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and team building skills
Ability to influence and persuade with good negotiation techniques
