Job Title: Junior Investigator
We are looking for a Junior Investigator to join our team in Sharjah. Ideally, this candidate will have no more than 5 years of experience dealing specifically with Speak Up/Ethics & Compliance cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively engaged in conducting investigations of possible breaches of the Petrofac Code of Conduct and other policies, in line with the Petrofac Protocol and Investigation Management System/Framework.
- Lead, in conjunction with the business and other functions if appropriate, complex investigations across the group, consistent with the Investigation Management System/Framework, as per guidance from the Investigations Manager and Investigations Director.
- Support ongoing monitoring of Speak-up incidents to actively assess and identify potential investigations, with guidance from the Investigations Manager.
- Support and liaise with investigators from different functions to ensure feedback from investigation closeouts is appropriately integrated into the Speak Up process.
- Work with other functions, such as Group Internal Audit and business subject matter experts, for investigation delivery across the Group.
- Assist the Investigations Team and other Compliance functions in delivering training on effective investigation techniques to build a network of investigation resources.
- Co-direct investigations under supervision, ensuring detailed Terms of Reference (ToR), reporting results in approved formats, and overseeing investigation closeouts.
- Provide oversight on investigations outsourced from Speak Up and investigated by other parts of the Business.
- Live in conformance with the Petrofac Code of Conduct and Values, maintaining high ethical standards, commitment, and integrity.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- No more than 5 years of investigative or relevant experience, gained in Petrofac or other relevant organizations.
- Graduate Law degree preferred; alternatively, a Degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, with additional qualifications such as MBA, Finance, Law, Economics, or Data Analysis considered advantageous.
- Professional qualifications such as bar membership, chartered accountant, IT certifications, Chartered Engineer, Certified Fraud Examiner, or CCEP certifications.
- Experience with forensic tools like NUIX, Microsoft E-discovery, Relativity, etc.
- Relevant industry experience is desirable but not essential.
