The American University in the Emirates is searching for an Institutional Research Manager who will be responsible for leading, supervising, and guiding the institutional research unit in order to meet the goals and objectives of the Institutional Effectiveness Department, as well as ensuring that the University's data, and information are consistent and accurate. In addition, they will be responsible for assisting the director in the planning and implementation of Institutional Effectivness practices that are consistent with the university's goals and mission.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Analytics or related field from an accredited university
• At least 5 year experience in a university

Skills / Training / Knowledge

• Research and database management skills
• Experience with statistical programming languages
• Skills in research methodology and design, statistics, and mathematics

Job Description

1. Ensure consistent and accurate institutional data and information to support the institution’s and decision making for continuous improvement
2. Manage the development and production of statistical and analytical reports in a wide variety of platforms
3. Oversee the daily operations of the institutional research unit and provide direction and support in meeting the internal and external requests.
4. Manage and ensure submitting accurate and consistent data and information to internal units and external agencies in a timely manner.
5. Plan the annual budget of the institutional research unit within the IE department.
6. Contribute to the University committees by providing the necessary data and information that supports the committee’s decision making.
7. Prepare and develop the assessment performance report of the institutional research unit and document its continuous performance and ways of improvements.
8. Conduct the annual performance evaluation of the institutional research team and provide professional development opportunities as appropriate.
9. Identify and secure funding from various sources to support the University mission in line with the university advancement and fundraising plan.
10. Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support for the institution.
11. Perform any duties as assigned by the superiors.
