Job description

Innovative manufacturing company based in the beautiful town of Stellenbosch is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join their Human Resources team.

The HR Assistant will support the HR department in various administrative tasks and functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong organizational skill set, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping others.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  1. Administrative Support
    Assist with day-to-day HR operations including scheduling interviews, preparing onboarding materials, and maintaining employee records.
    Maintain and update employee files in the Electronic Filing System.
    Issuing UIF Documents to employees where needed.
  2. Recruitment and Onboarding
    Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
    Assist with job postings and CV screenings.
    Loading of New Recruits on the Biometric system.
  3. Employee Relations
    Provide support in addressing employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  4. Payroll
    Processing Leave forms and Overtime on Clocking system.
    Weekly Electronic distribution of Clocking to relevant departments.
    Ad-hoc monthly payroll processing.
  5. Benefits Administration
    Assist employees with benefits enrolment and inquiries, including provident fund, retirement annuities, and other employee benefits.
    Coordinate with benefits providers to resolve issues and update employee records.
  6. Training and Development
    Support the coordination and logistics of training sessions and professional development programs.
    Maintain training records and assist in tracking employee progress and certifications.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Grade 12 Certificate required; Certificate in Human Resources or Payroll related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in an HR or Payroll administrative role is advantageous.
  3. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with a Clocking system.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  7. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  8. Ability to work effectively and unsupervised.

SALARY: R16 Gross
