Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Experienced Waitress to join our team at our authentic French restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and prior experience in a high-end or fine dining environment. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional table service, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable French dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and present menus, offering recommendations on French cuisine and wine pairings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar efficiently.
- Serve meals and drinks in a professional, timely, and courteous manner.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, daily specials, and wine list, including French culinary terms and ingredients.
- Set up and clear tables, ensuring cleanliness and readiness at all times.
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Process payments and maintain accurate cash / card transaction records.
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
- Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with restaurant policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a waitress in a fine dining or upscale restaurant (French cuisine experience advantageous).
- Knowledge of French culinary terms, dishes, and wines is highly desirable.
- Ability to carry out food and wine service with elegance and professionalism.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English (French language skills are a plus).
