Job summary
A cruise line company is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property on board the vessel. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and preferably experience in security or law enforcement. Responsibilities include monitoring, conducting inspections, and responding to incidents. Candidates must pass background checks and hold a valid security certification.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security or law enforcement role is preferred.
- Knowledge of maritime security procedures and protocols is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Must hold a valid security guard license/certification.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the cruise ship to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies as per protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
- Conduct security checks on personnel, cargo, and equipment.
- Collaborate with other security team members.
