Job summary
A public university in Gqeberha is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead a team in ensuring electrical maintenance and compliance with safety standards. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee and coordinate electrical maintenance and technical support in a production environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, safe operations, and compliance with all health and safety standards, while leading a team of electricians and apprentices to meet production demands.
Requirements:
- Matric and N6 in Electrical or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified Trade Tested Electrician.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant/factory maintenance, with supervisory experience.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with CMMS systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong electrical aptitude with basic mechanical knowledge.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills (e.g., 5WHY, Cause and Effect).
- Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with purchasing and stores management.
