A leading South African company is seeking a part-time intern for processing and packaging tasks. The role involves operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and participating in workplace improvement activities. Candidates from under-represented designated groups may be preferred. This position offers practical experience in a supportive environment.

This is a phase‑out role and/or waiting area while Autonomous Operators receive necessary training.
Completion of a variety of basic and/or manual tasks required in the processing and packaging of products within specified parameters and in accordance with the MECP framework and standards and Standard Operating Procedures. (Are SOPs applicable to manual labour?)
To operate primary processing and packaging equipment by adjusting, maintaining and controlling processing equipment, within organisational set up and operating parameters, to ensure that products are produced, by achieving quality standards and according to production specifications.
To safely operate and maintain primary & secondary packaging machinery. To coordinate & lead daily activities for, but not limited to, Autonomous Operators and General workers. Operating within a team in order to pack finished products according to planned production requirements ensuring good quality packed product at the right cost.
