Job summary

A local accounting firm in Somerset West is seeking to employ a bookkeeper to join their dynamic team. The main function of this position will be capturing financial data from bank statements up to Trial Balance level, including managing debtors, creditors, cashbooks, and reconciliations. Candidates must be bilingual in Afrikaans and English and possess strong Excel skills. Previous experience in an accounting practice and knowledge of computerized accounting systems like Pastel or Sage Accounting is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Matric qualification required.
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
  • Strong Excel skills essential.
  • Previous experience in accounting practice is advantageous.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must have own transport and license.
