A prominent maritime company is seeking a maintenance assistant for onboard equipment and systems on a cruise ship. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience, knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and certification in Basic Safety Training. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, maintaining safety records, and assisting with repairs while ensuring compliance with procedures.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Willingness to work long hours and be on call as needed.

- Assist the 1st Assistant Repairman in performing maintenance and repairs onboard the cruise ship equipment and systems
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Assist in the ordering and inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient operation of the vessel
- Participate in emergency drills and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Willingness to work long hours and be on call as needed
- Valid certification in Basic Safety Training and STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping)
